  • Julian's parents were pagans and wanted to marry her to a prominent Antioch official, Eleusis. But Julian strongly refused. Her refusal surprised her parents, because until that moment she had not brought them any objections and she was an obedient daughter. Eleusis with wounded selfishness demanded revenge. After researching and watching Julian for a long time, she learned that she had become a Christian without the knowledge of her parents. So Eleusius reported her to the prefect, as a result of which she was arrested and imprisoned.

Inside the prison, efforts continued to become Eleusis' wife and to avoid the risk of death. But Julian would rather die than have a pagan wife. Then Eleusis, by order of the prefect and with a lot of hatred, whipped her mercilessly. Then he burned her face with a glowing iron, and said to her, "Go to the mirror now to show off your beauty." Juliani, with a slight insult, replied: "In the resurrection of the righteous, there will be no wounds and burns on the faces. There will be only the wounds of souls from sin. That is why, Eleusis, I now prefer the wounds of the body, which are temporary, to the wounds of the soul, which torment eternally ". After a while, the executioner's sword cut off Julian's young head.

Later, Eleusis, when he was found shipwrecked on an unknown island, found a tragic end, when he was devoured by a wild lion.

Her gathering is held at her martyrdom, near the martyr Euphemia in Petrio.

It celebrates on December 21 of each year.
